Carol Donnelly-Stevens was a 2013 candidate for the Supreme Court 3rd Judicial District in New York. The 3rd District has jurisdiction over the counties of Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schoharie, Sullivan and Ulster.

2013 election

Donnelly-Stevens ran for election to the Supreme Court 3rd Judicial District. General: She was defeated by W. Dennis Duggan and Richard J. McNally in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 41.2 percent of the vote.[1][2]

IJEQC rating

Stevens was rated "Qualified" by New York's Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commissions (IJEQC).[3]

Education

Stevens received her J.D. from Albany Law School in 1979. She also graduated from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.[4]

Career

Stevens joined Brown, Kelleher, Zwickel and Wilhelm as an associate in 1991. She became a partner of that firm in 1995. She then worked as a part-time Assistant District Attorney for Greene County from 1999 until 2001, when she was appointed Green County Attorney. She later served for a brief time as a private practice attorney in Albany before moving to New York City and becoming assistant corporate counsel at an insurance company.[5]
