Chad Gallagher is a political consultant and founder of Legacy Consulting in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was the senior leadership director for Mike Huckabee's 2016 presidential campaign.[1] In this capcity, Gallagher also directed Huck PAC, Huckabee's leadership PAC.[2] Gallagher worked with Huckabee as a senior advisor when Huckabee was governor of Arkansas and as a senior advisor to Huckabee's 2008 presidential run.

A graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, Gallagher is the former mayor of De Queen, Arkansas, and the former executive director for the Arkansas Tobacco Control Board.[3]

Career

In 1998, at the age of 22, Gallagher was elected mayor of DeQueen, Arkansas. After an unsuccessful re-election campaign, Gallagher joined Huckabee's gubernatorial staff as the policy advisor for intergovernmental affairs.[4] After Huckabee's term as governor, Gallagher joined his 2008 presidential campaign in an advisory role.[3]

Gallagher began Legacy Consulting in 2008, and in 2010 he led the transition team for Arkansas Lt. Gov. Mark Darr (R), providing "guidance and dialogue," according to Arkansas Online.[5]

In the 2014 election cycle, Gallagher became the director of Huckabee's leadership PAC while the PAC focused on fundraising.[6]

On May 7, 2015, Mike Huckabee's presidential campaign announced that Gallagher would be the campaign's senior leadership director.[1] He also served as the director of Huck PAC.[2] In contrast to most leadership PACs, which use funds to support like-minded national candidates for office, Huck PAC focused more on fundraising and political advising since its formation in 2008.[7][6]

Huckabee suspended his presidential campaign on February 1, 2016.[8]
