David Peak is the superintendent of Cheyenne Mountain School District 12. Peak started serving on July 1, 2021. His previous experience includes working as assistant superintendent of human resources, as well as many other administrative roles in various Colorado school districts.[1]
Past superintendent
- Walt Cooper was the superintendent of Cheyenne Mountain School District 12 from July 1, 2006 until his retirement on June 30, 2021.[2] Cooper's previous career experience includes working as the district's assistant superintendent for business operations, a high school teacher, and a middle school principal.[3]

The Cheyenne Mountain School District 12 consists of five members elected to four-year terms. Board members are elected at large.[4]
