A City of Downey Term Limits, Measure G ballot proposition was on the February 5, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of Downey in Los Angeles County, where it was defeated.
The City of Downey has a two-term term limit law that governs how long members of the City Council can serve. This is a "lifetime limit." If Measure G had been approved, city council members would have been allowed to stay in office for three consecutive terms, and they also would have been allowed to run again for the city council after taking a term off.
Measure G was referred to the ballot by the City of Downey's city council.
