I am a mom of 3 with a background in Accounting hoping to improve district communication and financial sustainability
I have a special interest in school funding in Ohio. It is very complex and I am hoping to be an asset in improving district communication regarding how funding works at the state level, how levies are structured, and how that effects our school district.

I also feel strongly about all students having access to all the tools they need for the best education possible in a safe and welcoming environment.
Good listening skills and the ability to compromise and cooperate in difficult situations.
School board members are community advocates to the Superintendent. They help craft the vision and direction of the school district, hold publicly accessible meetings, and welcome comments from the public. Serving on a school board is a public service, working to unite the community and school district, and represent the best interests of the district as a whole to help the district grow and succeed.
Parents and community members
Continue to advocate to state lawmakers to make state funding more equitable. Currently Beavercreek receives the least possible school funding from the state putting most of the funding burden on the local community. Explore the feasibility of a school income tax, which would reduce some of the burden on retired homeowners, and work to convert some of the school levies from renewable to permanent to capture additional revenue from continued district growth without increasing the burden on existing homeowners, and reduce voter fatigue.
I would like the see the school district improve their communication and district website to make it easier for parents and the community to find information in one easy to access, streamlined location.
All students deserve the least restrictive, most affirming environment to thrive and reach their greatest potential.
