Clifford Rechtschaffen
Clifford Rechtschaffen was a member of the California Public Utilities Commission. Rechtschaffen assumed office on January 1, 2017. Rechtschaffen left office on January 1, 2023.
Rechtschaffen was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown (D) on December 28, 2016, and assumed office on January 1, 2017.[1] Rechtschaffen left office at the end of his term, effective January 1, 2023.[2]
Biography
Prior to his appointment to the California Public Utilities Commission, Rechtschaffen worked as a senior advisor to Governor Jerry Brown (D) for energy and environmental policy from 2011 to 2017. He previously worked for the California Attorney General's Office as a special assistant attorney general and as a deputy attorney general. He was also an environmental law professor at the Golden Gate University School of Law.[3][4]
