Branch ran for re-election to the Raleigh City Council to represent District C in North Carolina. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Branch is from Raleigh, North Carolina. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. His professional experience includes working as a senior technical director at AT&T. Additional experience includes serving as a member of the Raleigh Transit Authority, a board member of WakeUp Wake County and chairman of the Marrkens Development Group.[1]

The city of Raleigh, North Carolina, held municipal elections for mayor and city council on October 10, 2017. A runoff took place on November 7, 2017, in those races where no candidate received a majority of the vote. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 21, 2017. All seven council seats were up for election.
Incumbent Corey Demont Branch defeated Crash Gregg, Olen Watson, James Bledsoe, and Jeff Stewart in the Raleigh City Council District C municipal election.[2]

The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 17, 2015.[3] In the District C race, incumbent Eugene Weeks was defeated by Corey Demont Branch in the general election on October 6, 2015.[4][5][6]
