This measure sought to add to the current cemetery levy by a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property for a further five years in order to continue to pay for maintenance and operational costs of the cemetery in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:
An additional tax for the benefit of Crane Township for the purpose of maintaining and operating cemeteries at a rate not to exceed .5 mill for each one dollar in valuation, which amounts to five cents ($0.05) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
