Criminal Justice Committee, Michigan House of Representatives (Decommissioned)
The Criminal Justice Committee is a former standing committee of the Michigan House of Representatives. Per Standing House Rule 33(2), the committee was made up of eight members.[1]
Function
The rules of the Senate and House do not describe the jurisdiction of the individual standing committees except that all Senate bills involving an appropriation must be referred either directly to the appropriations committee or to an appropriate standing committee and then to the appropriations committee. Traditionally, the assignment of bills follows topical lines.[2]
