I am committed to working for you through grassroots funding. I will support housing stabilization, green energy infrastructure and a forward thinking education plan that creates a competitive school district with diverse opportunities for every child. I will work to increase transparency and listen to voices not normally heard at Council Meetings. I will work to strengthen the relationship between our community and our government. I will follow up with real changes to improve the lives of residents and improve our city. New Voices in Fremont Government Fremont has the honor of being one of the most diverse cities in the country. We are a quarter million strong. With our cultural and economic diversity, we can be the example for the country on how to build inclusive communities. Let's unite to get new voices heard by our government and show the world our ability to make real change happen. We all deserve a comprehensive education for our kids, affordable housing for our families, businesses that hire local and offer competitive wages, and a city government that listens to, learns from and is loyal to the community they serve. Sustainable Development We are developing at a rate that will max out Fremont's space. The most troubling part is that our land will be fully developed, but our communities will not be. We have already started to experience the downfalls of poor long-term planning; from our worsening traffic to over-crowded schools and rising housing costs, we need leadership that understands building a bedroom community into a metropolitan dream takes more than stacking houses on top of each other. Green Energy Initiatives Our planet is suffering from Climate Crisis and every level of government needs to act quickly and to be bold with new efforts to save our resources. We should be working towards having every public building using 100% renewable energy, putting responsibility onto developers to build green infrastructure into their plans, doing everything in our power to encourage our transient residents to buy electric vehicles. Let's work with apartment complexes and commercial centers to provide charging stations that will help make owning an electric vehicle possible for thousands in our working communities. [2] |
