Daniel Rockwitz Reynolds
Daniel Rockwitz Reynolds was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Buffalo school board in New York up for election on May 6, 2014. On April 22, 2014, Reynolds was removed from the ballot due to not meeting the petition signature requirements.[1]
Biography
Daniel Rockwitz Reynolds is a resident of Buffalo, New York. Reynolds earned both his B.A. degree in Linguistics and his M.Ed. degree from the University at Buffalo in 2007 and 2008, respectively. He is also certified by the state of New York to teach English as a Second Language. From 2010 to 2012, Reynolds worked as a site leader for an after-school community center operated by Upgrade Academics.[2] After leaving that position, he spent two months as an ESL instructor at International School 45 in the Buffalo school system. At the time of his candidacy, Reynolds was employed by the International Institute of Buffalo as a Chinese-language interpreter.[3] Reynolds is also a beatboxing entertainer who performs in Buffalo under the stage name, "Scantron."[4]

Daniel Rockwitz Reynolds filed to run against incumbents Barbara Seals Nevergold and John Licata and 12 fellow challengers for an at-large seat with a five-year term in the general election on May 6, 2014. Both Reynolds and Bryon J. McIntyre were disqualified from the race and removed from the ballot due to not meeting the petition signature requirements.[1]

Funding
Reynolds reported no contributions or expenditures to the Erie County Board of Elections during his campaign. School board candidates in New York are not required to report their campaign contributions or expenditures if they do not exceed $500.00.[5]
