Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a native of Altoona, PA, lived in Tampa, FL for 20 years, and have been in Jacksonville since December 2010. I'm a chaplain with the Florida Baptist Convention Disaster Relief Ministry, a ministry leader at Westside Baptist Church, a member of the Gideon's International, a Liberty University graduate with a BS in Psychology/Crisis Counseling. I am a husband, father, and grandfather, married to one amazing wife, Cheryl. In addition, I am a teacher in a private Christian school.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• I will be a visible councilman
• I will fight for more productive spending of our tax dollars
• I support school choice and and parental rights when it comes to our children's education

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Budgetary; education; law enforcement;

What qualities does this office possess that makes it a unique and important part of the state government and legal system?

City Council has unlimited legislative power which determines how to make our community a progressively better place to live and work.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

Jesus Christ. I try my best each and every day to imitate the character of Christ inwardly and outwardly. Most people of the world that I looked up to ended up sending me down the wrong paths of life.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Empathy and compassion; Christian morals and ethics; selflessness; honesty and integrity; accountability, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Good stewardship of the city budget

What legacy would you like to leave?

Removing the disenfranchisement tag from our lower-socioeconomically redlined neighborhoods and help bridge the gap of cultural and racial division in our city.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

First man on the moon: I was 5 1/2 years old

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Kentucky Fried Chicken in Altoona. PA. Held for maybe a year before I moved on to Long John Silvers.

What is your favorite book? Why?

The Bible; this book is the ultimate handbook for my life

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Spiderman

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

The Great I Am

Beneficial, but not required.
