Deana M. Finnegan was a 2014 candidate for the 35th Circuit Court in Michigan.[1]

Finnegan ran for election to the 35th Circuit Court.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 39.7 percent of the vote. She competed against Matt Stewart and George Stevenson.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Matt Stewart. [1][2]

Finnegan received her J.D. degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.[3]

Career

Finnegan has been the prosecuting attorney for Shiawassee County since 2012. She has previously served as an assistant prosecutor, and worked in private practice. In 2002, she worked for the Prosecuting Attorney's Association of Michigan as the violence against women training attorney.[3]
