Diane Savino
Diane Savino (Democratic Party) was a member of the New York State Senate, representing District 23. She assumed office in 2005. She left office on January 1, 2023.
Savino (Democratic Party, Independence Party) ran for re-election to the New York State Senate to represent District 23. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020. She advanced from the Democratic primary on June 23, 2020.
Savino was a part of the eight-member Independent Democratic Conference in the New York State Senate until April 2018. She and other former IDC members faced progressive challengers in the September 13 Democratic primaries. Click here to learn more about the primaries.
Biography
Diane Savino earned her B.A. from Saint John's University. She then graduated from the Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Her professional experience includes working as a caseworker for the New York City Child Welfare Administration.
