Dolores Garcia Baca
Dolores Garcia Baca was a candidate for District 2 representative on the El Paso City Council in Texas. She was defeated in the general election on May 6, 2017.
Garcia Baca previously ran for the District 2 seat on the El Paso City Council in 2013 and in a 2016 special election.[1][2] She was also a 1999 candidate for the District 3 seat on the city council and a 2002 Democratic candidate for district clerk.[3][4][5]
Biography
Garcia Baca earned a B.A. in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. At the time of her 2017 run for office, she was a housewife and writer. She has also served as president of the Westway Water Control and Improvement District and as a Hillary Clinton delegate to the 2008 Democratic state convention in Austin, Texas.[6][7]
