Don Kirkpatrick is the judge for the Van Zandt County Court in Van Zandt County, Texas. After his opponent in the 2014 election resigned early, he was sworn in on August 4, 2014, to fill the vacancy left by Rhita Koches. He will serve a four-year term ending in 2018.[1]

Kirkpatrick ran for election to the Van Zandt County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 68.29 percent of the vote. He competed against Rhita Koches.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014. [2][3][4] 

2010

Kirkpatrick was re-elected to the Van Zandt County Justice of the Peace Court after running unopposed.[5]

Education

Kirkpatrick graduated from Grand Saline High School.[6]

Career

Kirkpatrick was the justice of the peace for Precinct 1 in Van Zandt County from his election in 2002 until his early swearing in to the county court bench in August 2014.[7] Prior to this, he worked for the Morton Salt Company for 22 years.[6]
