Don Smyth was a judge for the Harris County Criminal Court at Law in Texas from 2011 to 2018.[1]

Smyth ran for re-election to the Harris County Criminal Court at Law.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: He defeated Jason Luong and Clint Davidson in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 54.3 percent of the vote.[2][3][4] 

2010

Smyth won the Republican primary, receiving 51.7 percent of the vote. He defeated by Dennis Slate in the general election for the Harris County Criminal Court at Law, winning 55.4 percent of the vote.[5][6]

Education

Smyth received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in 1970. He went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1973.[7]
