What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I'm personally passionate about parental and volunteer programs. I believe education starts at home and that when the community gets involved in education the children will see how important it is.

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

I would recommend the Bible. In my opinion it is full of good examples of how we should live our daily lives.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

I believe honesty and integrity are most important for an elected official

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I believe my interpersonal skills and thinking outside the box to get desired results are my strong points

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

I believe the core responsibilities are to make sure every child gets a quality education and the proper use of public funds

What legacy would you like to leave?

I would like to leave a legacy of going the extra mile and the desire to always give back.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My very first job was cutting grass in my neighborhood. I did it for years as a side job.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?

My favorite holiday is Christmas, because it puts people in the spirit of giving

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

If I could be a fictional character I would be Superman. I like coming to the aid of others.

What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?

My favorite thing in my home is my shower. It allows me to relax.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

In my life I've had to struggle with saying "No"

What is the primary job of a school board member in your view?

In my view the primary job of a school board member is to make sure every child gets a quality education

How would you support the diverse needs of your district’s students, faculty, staff, and community?

I would support the needs of my district by first listening to the needs and desires of those involved.

How will you build relationships with members of the broader community? Which groups, organizations, stakeholders will you specifically target?

I will build relationships by attending other groups functions. I will target businesses and social groups that have the desire for community service and value education.

What will you do to build a better relationship with parents in the district? What plans do you have to be inclusive of parental involvement?

To build better parental involvement I will push for programs that educate parents on the importance of being involved with their children's education

Do you believe it is important to intentionally recruit with the aim of diversifying the district’s faculty, staff, and administration? If so, what would be your policy to achieve this?

I believe it is good to intentionally recruit a diverse faculty and staff. It is important because our communities are becoming more diverse.

What issues get in the way of quality education? How would you address these obstacles?

Having enough qualified teachers gets in the way of a quality education. Having extra incentives to attract and retain qualified teachers is key.

What constitutes good teaching? How will you measure this? How will you support advanced teaching approaches?

Good teaching can be measured by looking at the gains and enthusiasm of the students. Support will be given in the areas that seem to be working.

How might you support the mental health needs of students/faculty/staff?

To support mental health needs I would like to see teachers trained on things to look for and specialist on staff to help with various needs.

What role do you imagine technology playing in (and outside) the classroom in the future? How would you prepare the district for this?

Technology plays a huge role in education. Our society is becoming more technologically advanced every day. To incorporate it I would work on keeping personnel trained on the latest technology
