Campaign themes

Larabee's campaign website listed the following campaign themes for 2013:[3]

Academics
We must strive to meet the educational needs of all our students. Ensuring academic success for all means working to focus on serving the needs of each individual learner. Vigilance is required to make sure that all of our students are moving forward and making significant progress. I will as a member of the school board work to ensure that administration provides measurable evidence that programs are meeting academic goals for all students.

Fiscal Responsibility
The school board represents all taxpayers to ensure that education dollars are spent wisely and responsibly. The community has a right to expect the school district to be good financial stewards of valuable resources and open with communication in all financial matters. As a tax and financial expert I understand how budgets work and will be ready to tackle the tough financial analysis necessary to make sure that we are maximizing our education dollars.

Transparency and Communication
I am committed to transparency and open communication with all district stakeholders. Continuing focus is vital to further build community confidence. As a School Board Member I will be a liaison between community and administration. I will pledge to provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders and encourage and ensure that the district does the same.

Long Term Goal and Vision
Our public schools should be a destination for the students in our community and their parent's top choice. Stemming the loss of resident students to other schools should be a priority for our district. We need to provide a product that we can all support and be proud of. I will listen to parents to find out what we need to make Eden Prairie Schools the first choice for everyone who lives here.
