Elizabeth Keever
Elizabeth Keever was the chief district court judge for the 12th Judicial District, serving Cumberland County of North Carolina. She was appointed to the court by former Governor Jim Hunt in 1982, and has served as the chief district court judge since 1994.[1] Keever was re-elected to the court in 2010 to another four-year term that expired in 2014. She did not seek re-election at the end of her term and retired from the bench on December 31, 2014.[2][3]
Education
Keever received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[4]
