Campaign themes
2014
Lancaster submitted his top three priorities to The Topeka Capital-Journal:[2]
“ | 1. I want what is best for Kansas and my district. I believe a balance budget is our top priority and getting any revenue problems fixed before anything else.
2. Do not sell any State owned buildings PERIOD! This is a very very bad idea that will only hurt the State in the long run. When I worked at the State in the maintenance department, we talked a lot about this, and what law makers see is the money, to where as I see all the problems of the logistics that go into running a building. 3. State Employees! I want to see state employees receive the pay increase they have been neglected over the past years. I know many think that State employees do not work to deserve the pay they get, but I can tell you that many are under paid for the amount of work they are tasked with.[3] |
