Folly H Aboussa is a 19 year old West African minister, businessman, and politician born in the country of Togo. Being raised and spending most of his life in Louisville, KY Folly has dedicated his time and effort toward helping building his community. Aboussa is a 4 year class president and graduate of Seneca High School and a former JCPS student ambassador. Today Folly is the youngest candidate for an elected office in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and hopes to be the youngest sitting council member for Louisville Metro.
  • I make job training and opportunities a priority to ending Louisville's homeless crisis.
  • Our youth deserve programs within their community that help them explore the endless possibilities there are in life and we must bring about this to end cycles of crime and brokenness.
  • Everyone deserves equal treatment in society and within our justice system. I stand by making sure minorities are treated no differently then anyone else.
I am passionate about lowering crimes rates, bringing forth justice reform, and making sure affordable housing is a human right to all. No man nor woman and children should have to worry about where they'll have to sleep while our government plays with money and funds that are meant to support programs that help our neighbors in need.
I look up to my grandfather Paul Aboussa who was a former advocate, attorney, and court justice in the country of Togo. He fled the country after his and our families life were threatened. He's the reason why I made studying history and law even more a priority in my life after an interest that had sparked in me.
After years of being bullied in school from 4th to 6th grade. My 7th grade year I not only faced the music that was causing me pain and mental health issues, but at the age of 14 I started my first nonprofit. Dedicated to supporting my peers that were facing problems just like me I wanted to be a voice for everyone. Every year following I saw myself growing into more and more of a leader each day.
