G. David Miller (Colorado)
G. David Miller was a judge on the 4th District Court in Colorado. He was initially appointed to this position by Gov. Bill Owens (R) and began his term on September 1, 2002. Miller was retained to a full six-year terms in 2004 and 2010. He was retained again in the general election on November 8, 2016 and retired from the court on March 31, 2022.
Biography
Miller received his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1979. He served in the U.S Marine Corps while attending law school at Creighton University. He received his J.D. degree in 1982 and was commissioned by the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate's Corps. Miller served in the corps as a prosecutor and senior defense counsel until the end of his active duty in 1988. He then worked as a private practice lawyer in Colorado Springs for 14 years, specializing in federal civil litigation and healthcare law. He continued to serve as a judge advocate in the Air Force Reserve until 2003.[1]

Colorado held judicial retention elections in 2016. Fifty-eight district court judges sought retention to six-year terms in the general election on November 8, 2016.
