George A. Brown is a Republican and the Place 5 judge on the partisan Mobile County District Court in Alabama. Brown won re-election in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Biography
Brown earned his B.A. in political science from University of South Alabama in 1974 and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1977. He first worked as a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Mobile until 1980. He then worked as a private practice attorney until 1986. He spent the next three years as an assistant district attorney in juvenile court before working as referee for the same courts for a decade.[1]
