General: He faced Deborah Kennedy and Mary K. Burnham in the general election on November 4, 2014.Martin and Burnham competed in a runoff election held November 25, 2014. Martin was successful in the runoff, bringing in 52 percent of the vote and defeating Burnham's 48%.[1]
Education
Martin graduated from Raleigh High School in 1985. He earned his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in 1989 and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1992.[3]
