This measure sought to replace the current medical levy with one set at a rate of $.20 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for emergency medical services in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:
A replacement of a tax for the benefit of Goshen Township (Exclusive of the Village of Mechanicsburg) for the purpose of PROVIDING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.20 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
