Senate Committees


The Government Efficiency & Reform Committee was a standing committee of the Texas House of Representatives.

Function

The 2013 Texas House rules described the functions of the committee as outlined below.

The committee shall have seven members, with jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to:
  • the organization, operation, powers, regulations, and management of state departments, agencies, institutions, and advisory committees;
  • elimination of inefficiencies in the provision of state services;
  • open government matters, including open records and open

meetings; and

  • the Sunset Advisory Commission.[1][2]
