Grant Barrett was a judge of the Calaveras County Superior Court in California.[1] He was elected on November 4, 2014, and retired in 2018.[2][3]

Barrett ran for election to the Calaveras County Superior Court.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 43.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Dana Leanne Pfeil and Kenneth M. Foley.
General: He faced Dana Leanne Pfeil in the general election on November 4, 2014. [1][4] 

Military service

Barrett served in the United States Army Reserve from 1985 to 1993. He was honorably discharged.[5]

Education

Barrett earned his B.B.A. from California State University at Hayward in 1991 and his J.D. from Empire College School of Law in 1995.[5]

Career

Prior to his election to the bench, Barrett was the commissioner for the Superior Court of Calaveras County. He also served temporarily as the commissioner for the Superior Court of Amador County. Before he was appointed as a commissioner, he was a researcher for the Superior Court of Calaveras County. Barrett started his career in private practice.[5]
