Three seats on the Greater Clark County Schools Board of School Trustees were up for general election on November 4, 2014.
District 1 incumbent Kevin Satterly lost to challenger Teresa S. Zollman. Both District 3 board member Mark Pavey and District 4 board member Nancy Kraft ran unopposed for re-election.[1]

Greater Clark County Schools is located in Clark County, Indiana. The county seat is Jeffersonville. Clark County is home to 112,938 residents, according to the United States Census Bureau.[2] In the 2011-2012 school year, Greater Clark County Schools was the 20th-largest school district in Indiana and served 10,593 students.[3]
Demographics
Clark County underperformed compared to the rest of Indiana in terms of higher education achievement in 2012. The United States Census Bureau found that 18.6 percent of Clark County residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree compared to 23.0 percent for Indiana as a whole. The median household income for Clark County was $50,559 compared to $48,374 for the state of Indiana. The percentage of people below poverty level for Clark County was 12.2 percent while it was 14.7 percent for the state of Indiana.[2]

Voter and candidate information
The Greater Clark County Board of School Trustees consists of seven members elected by specific geographic districts to four-year terms. There was no primary election, and the general election was held on November 4, 2014. Three seats were up for election in 2014.[1]
School board candidates had to file with their county elections department during the candidate filing period, which began on July 23, 2014, and ended on August 22, 2014. Write-in candidates also had to file by August 22, 2014. To vote in the 2014 general election, voters had to register by October 6, 2014.[5]
