  • The Democrat party has failed the country by sowing division and hatred among the citizens of this great country. Their strategy of pitting different groups against one another is not a winning strategy for the nation. I am running for congress to refocus the national priorities on the core issues that make the country great
  • I am running for congress to refocus the national priorities on some of the core issues that make the country great: limited government, personal freedom and responsibility, and the rule of law.
  • We must all unite to secure a bright future for the country.
As a current teacher and a retired Army Officer, I will be focused on education and family issues and issues of national defense.
Although I am an imperfect person, I try to walk with Jesus and follow the Catholic faith as much as possible. Politically, I look up to Ronald Reagan because of his conservative beliefs and love of country. Economically, I would have to say Dr. Walter Williams because he makes many complex economic issues easy to comprehend. Militarily, I look up to General Patton because of his military leadership and his dedication to America.
Truthfulness is the most important characteristic for an elected official. Lies and obfuscation lead to distrust and chaos.
The core responsibilities of a representative are to represent and fight for the interests of the local constituency. This must be tempered, however, with the interests of the nation as a whole.
I remember watching the moon landing and the Vietnam war on TV. I was six years old at the time.
I had my first job when I was 12 years old. I got up before school in the cold winter mornings to stuff, roll, and deliver newspapers before going to school. I held that job until I turned 15 and my family moved. I got my next job, as a lifeguard when I turned 16.
The House of Representatives is unique in that is has such a large number of representatives that represent a large cross section of the country. This is both an opportunity and a challenge. It is an opportunity because one gets to see the diversity of the country and the different voices of the people, but it is a challenge to marshal the resources of the representatives and get them to perform in a cohesive manner.
Previous experience can be a benefit, but as long as someone has a proven track record of leadership, education, and competency, that person meets the basic qualifications.
Whether we like it or not, we have entered a new Cold War, this time with China. China seeks to change the world order by making countries bend to its totalitarian ways. We need politicians who are willing to confront China and support democracies before it is too late. The national debt is another existential problem that needs to be confronted. We need to elect officials that will force the government to live within its means. Yearly federal deficits are unsustainable and will eventually cause economic ruin for the country and the world.
The two-year election cycle is good because it forces the representative to maintain contact with the representative's constituents. However, the two-year cycle, forces representatives to spend an inordinate time and effort courting donors. Overall the system is working well.
Term limits are useful because having a person if office for a great deal of time usually leads to stagnation and corruption. Fresh voices need to be added to the to the national conversation.
In our democratic system, compromise is necessary. One must fight for one's principles, but compromise is often necessary to move the ball forward.
The national debt and yearly deficits are huge issues that we must confront as a nation. A default by Ameria would throw the world into chaos. I would prioritize reducing and then eliminating yearly deficits. If the nation is unwilling to pay for it, then we shouldn't spend the money. This is the same principal that governs businesses and individuals.

Campaign website

Puccetti's campaign website stated the following:

Environment

Greg is pro-environment and believes that we need to take care of this planet in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Immigration

Greg believes in legal immigration. Unregulated immigration hurts Americans by flooding the jobs market with an over supply of workers that reduce wages of all Americans.

Budget and the Deficit

Greg is for requiring that the federal government to live within its means just like states, businesses, and individual Americans.

2nd Amendment

Greg is a proponent of the 2nd Amendment and gun owner. He will fight to defend this Constitutional right against those who seek to impose limits on that right.

Big Tech

Greg is in favor of reining in the abusive practices of social media companies and possibly regulating them as public utilities in order to protect freedom of speech and the interests of the American people.

China

Like it or not, we are already in a Cold War with China. They aim to impose their totalitarian vision of the world by bullying, economic coercion, and military action. Greg will work to ensure that the American government takes the China threat to democracy seriously before it is too late.

Education

Greg is for providing federally funded school vouchers to parents so they can have more of a voice in their child’s education. Let the money follow the child to whichever school the parent chooses.

Covid

Greg is opposed to federal mask and vaccine mandates. Individuals should be able to decide what is best for themselves.

Pro Life

Greg Puccetti believes in the sanctity of life and is against federal funding of organizations that promote abortions.[4]
