Johnston reflects on her career
In an open letter published in the News Star, Johnston reflected on her 24-year career as justice of the peace.
| “ | As a Ouachita Parish Justice of The Peace (Ward 7) for 24 years, I wish to thank everyone who supported my services.
I did not qualify for another six-year term as I believe four such terms allowed me to accomplish many of my objectives—fighting litter being No. 1. I believed it was time for other citizens to become involved. I offer my support to the next justice of the peace if or when needed.[1][2] |
