The Indiana Free Use of the Common School Fund, Proposition 2, also known as Proposition 2, was on the ballot in Indiana on November 4, 1986, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The proposition proposed one amendment to the constitution: Article 8. The amendment would allow the General Assembly to use the Common School Fund for any purpose they determine, but would be subject to limitations imposed by federal law.[1]
