J. Terrence Cody was a circuit court judge for Floyd County, Indiana.[1] He was re-elected in 2010 to a six-year term. Cody won re-election in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Education

Cody earned a bachelor's degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, going on to receive his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1974.[2]

Career

After law school, he practiced law with his father, John A. Cody, Jr., until his election to the Floyd Circuit Court in November of 1998. He was re-elected without opposition in 2004 and 2010.[2]

The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 5, 2016. Incumbent J. Terrence Cody (D) defeated Keith Henderson (R) in the general election for the Indiana 52nd Circuit Court in Floyd County.[3]

Cody was re-elected to the 53rd Circuit Court of Floyd County of the Indiana Circuit Courts in 2010. He received 3,785 of the votes.[4]
