James Naftel II
James "Jim" Naftel II is a Democratic judge for Place 1 of the Jefferson County Probate Court in Alabama. He was appointed to the court by Governor Kay Ivey (R) on June 30, 2020, to replace Alan King.[1]

Career
Prior to his appointment to the bench, Naftel worked in private law practice in Birmingham. He co-authored and edited the book Alabama Probate Law and Procedure: the Administration of Decedent’s Estates.[2]
