In District 2, incumbent Eloise Curtis did not file for re-election; Charlie Hannah triumphed over Frank Beckles to win that seat. In At-large District 9, Board President Venus Cain defeated challenger James Swanagan. Incumbents Alex Howard, Jack Padgett and Frank Dolan ran unopposed in Districts 3, 6 and 7, respectively.
