James Williamson (Oklahoma)
James Williamson was the Oklahoma secretary of state from June 2018 to January 2019. He was appointed by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin (R) on May 31, 2018, and assumed office on June 1, 2018.[1] He replaced Dave Lopez, who resigned on March 30, 2018.
Williamson was a nonpartisan candidate for Office 3 judge of the 14th District Court in Oklahoma. Williamson lost the primary on June 26, 2018.
Williamson served in the Oklahoma State Senate from 1996 to 2008 and in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1980 to 1986. He was appointed as Gov. Fallin's general counsel in March 2017.[1]

Williamson graduated with a B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa.[1]
