Three of the seven seats on the Traverse City Area Public Schools school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbent Doris Ellery filed for re-election, while fellow board members Gary Appel and Megan Crandall opted against seeking new terms. Ellery and newcomers Jan Geht and Jane Klegman won election without opposition.[1]
