Jason Greene was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing Missouri's 5th Congressional District. It was Greene's first time running for office. He was defeated by Jacob Turk in the Republican primary on August 7, 2012.[1]

Greene was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He earned his undergraduate degree in Social Science Education from Northwest Missouri State University. During the course of his studies, he also worked with the Department of Veteran Affairs with the National Veterans Business Development Corporation. He then returned to Kansas City to finish his graduate work in political science from the University of Missouri. For the past several years, Greene has taught Social Studies and coached in Raytown, Missouri.[2]

2012

Greene said he considers himself a "pro-liberty candidate" and would like to bring an "anti-establishment" attitude to Washington. Greene said he would advocate for:[3]

  • Restoration of civil liberties
  • Constitutionalist mentality

Greene ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Missouri's 5th District. He faced Jerry Nolte, Jacob Turk, and Ron Paul Shawd in the Republican primary. Greene was defeated by Jacob Turk in the Republican primary on August 7, 2012.[4]
