I am a mother and educator with over 12 years of experience working with students from birth through the age of 22 in several large school districts in North Texas. My experience has given me the knowledge and expertise to identify and address the needs of students and their families. I have a track record of actively listening to parents, advocating for academic success, and building strong relationships with all members of the school community. With a focus on developing critical thinking skills, creating positive learning environments, and prioritizing the fundamentals of education, I am dedicated to shaping the futures of our students as good citizens who can compete in the global job market. I believe my experience and commitment to education make me a valuable asset to any school board, and I am passionate about working collaboratively to improve the quality of education for all students in our district.
  • Empower Parents: I believe that parents are the ultimate and final authority on their children's education. As a school board member, I will ensure that parents have access to all curricula being taught, allow them to have opt-out options, and advocate for their rights to speak up for their children's needs and to advocate for policies and programs that support families and children
  • Prioritize Education: I will prioritize the fundamental elements of education, including reading, writing, math, science, history, and civics, and developing critical thinking skills. I will steer away from programs that promote specific political ideologies and ensure that students are equipped with essential skills to compete in the job market.
  • Financial Responsibility: As a school board member, I will be committed to budget transparency and accountability to the taxpayers. I will ensure that taxpayer dollars are being spent effectively, efficiently, and responsibly, and that the budget is being handled appropriately. I will prioritize spending on academic programs and classroom resources, while preventing unnecessary spending on lavish facilities or politically motivated programs.
As an educator and parent, I am personally passionate about the education system being a place of academia where students are equipped with essential critical thinking skills and are well-prepared to compete in the job market. I believe that transparency with parents is crucial to ensure that they are always aware of what is being taught and that schools recognize them as the final authority of their children. Parents have the right to know what their children are being taught and to be involved in their education. Additionally, I am passionate about ensuring that the fundamental elements of education, such as reading, writing, and math, are prioritized and that students receive a well-rounded education that includes knowledge of history and government. Overall, my passion lies in creating positive learning environments where students are well-prepared for their futures and parents are empowered to be active participants in their children's education.
