A Jerome Township Police Levy Replacement measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the township of Jerome which is in Union County.
The measure was approved
- YES 552 (56.85%)
- NO 419 (43.15%)[1]
This measure sought to replace the current police levy with one set at a rate of $.11 per $100 of assessed value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for police protection services in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:
A replacement of a portion of an existing levy, being a reduction of 0.1 mills to constitute a tax for the benefit of Jerome Township (unincorporated area) for the purpose of POLICE PROTECTION from the Union County Sheriff's Office at a rate not exceeding 1.1 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.11 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3] |
