Dillon ran for election to the Knox County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 44 percent of the vote. He competed against Travis C. Floyd, Jason K. Doran and Steve Shahan.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Dillon faced Floyd in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. He was defeated, earning 18.3% of the votes cast.
