Jim Harvey is a judge for the magistrate court in Mingo County, West Virginia.[1] Harvey was sworn in on July 10, 2014, and he was elected in November 2014.[1][2][3]

Incumbent Jim Harvey defeated Scott Smith, Michele Webb and Donald Roy Stevens in the general election for the Mingo County Magistrate Court Division 3 seat.[4]

Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on May 13, 2014, receiving 31.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Thomas Taylor, Scott Smith, Michele Webb and Grady Colin Kelley, II.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.
