Joan M. McMenemy

Joan M. McMenemy is the first justice for the Berkshire Juvenile Court in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.[1] She was nominated to the court by former Governor Deval Patrick on July 8, 2010, and was confirmed by the Governor's Council later that year.[2][3][4] McMenemy may serve on the court until she turns the mandatory retirement age of 70.[5]
Education
McMenemy received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College in 1988 and her J.D. from the Suffolk University Law School in 1993.[2]
Career
From 1994 until she joined the Berkshire Juvenile Court in 2010, McMenemy served as a prosecutor in the Berkshire District Attorney's Office. She served as a second assistant district attorney from 2005 to 2010, as the chief of the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit from 2005 to 2010, and as a superior court prosecutor from 1999 to 2010.[2][4]
