Joe Curtatone
Joe Curtatone was a potential Democratic candidate for Governor of Massachusetts in the 2014 election, to fill the open seat left by incumbent Deval Patrick's retirement. Curtatone ultimately declined to enter the race in October 2013. At the time of the election, Curtatone was the mayor of Somerville, Massachusetts.[1]

Curtatone considered a bid for election to the open seat of Governor of Massachusetts in 2014. In an interview given on Sept. 27, 2013, Curtatone said he was "days away" from a final decision about his candidacy. Curtatone announced he would not enter the Democratic primary race for governor in mid-October.[1][2]
