John H. Crandall is a judge of the Herkimer County Court and the Herkimer County Surrogate's Court in New York. He was elected to this position on November 8, 2011 (effective January 1) for a 10-year term ending on December 31, 2021.[1][2]
He previously worked as the county's District Attorney.[3]

Crandall was elected without opposition to the Herkimer County and Surrogate's Courts on November 8, 2011. He was endorsed by Republicans, who passed up incumbent Judge Patrick L. Kirk in May of 2011. Kirk withdrew from the race, leaving Crandall unopposed.[1][3][4]
