The Kansas Constitutional Proposals and Approval, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Kansas on November 4, 1980, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Article 14, Section 1. The amendment proposed that constitutional amendments may be proposed by either the House or Senate, must pass with a two-thirds vote in each legislature, and the said amendment would be published for the next election, in full, including title, would not use technical language, and the amendments will be presented individually, with a limit of five amendments in a single election.[1]
