Political philosophy
Hendrix described the following as her political philosophy.
“ | I have extensive experience with both education and finance on the state, county, and local levels. This is why my passion for education and training in finance has drawn me to this position[13] | ” |
—Kari Middleton Hendrix (September 26, 2016)[3] |
She also added the following statement about her campaign for a school board seat:
“ | I was born and raised in Cathedral City. My family has lived here for multiple generations and this community is where I plan to stay.
Having grown up here, and attended Palm Springs Unified Schools, I bring a unique perspective to the board. I was fortunate, and given every opportunity to be the first in my family to go to college. I was inspired to do so by PSUSD teachers. We are raising our three daughters in the community that my husband and I call “home.” Our oldest daughter, Olivia, attends a Palm Springs school and my mother-in-law retired from the district after 25 years as a local teacher. I want the best opportunities for our children-the best teachers, the best curriculum, and best platform for their future success for my children and for your children. I want to be the “voice of parents and families” on the school board, as the ONLY Board member, with a child attending school in the district. I have the history, commitment, and ability to guide the district as the new school board member. Please stay attuned to issues and provide community feedback on my Facebook page Elect Kari Middleton Hendrix to PSUSD on local education issues. I ask for your vote in November[13] |
