Katherine G. Essrig is a judge of the Florida 13th Circuit Court. Her current term ends on January 5, 2027.

Essrig won re-election for judge of the Florida 13th Circuit Court outright after the general election on November 3, 2020, was canceled.

Education

Essrig received her A.B. degree in public policy studies from Duke University and her J.D. degree from the University of Florida School of Law. She was admitted to the bar in 1981.[1][2][3]

Career

Essrig began her career as a law clerk to a U.S. magistrate judge. She then worked as an assistant state attorney and practiced with the Law Offices of John M. Fitzgibbons prior to joining the Hillsborough County Court in 1991. In 1997, she joined the circuit court.[1][2]
