Healthcare Healthcare is a really big deal for Kelsten. Since the implementation of the ACA healthcare has become unaffordable for many people. Most folks don’t qualify for covered California and if they do, California wants to put your children on medi-cal. It’s a catch twenty-two. We need leaders like Kelsten that understand many people that are self-employed or file a 1040 form every year who have been left out of the ACA. The biggest let down was when Republicans had the House, Senate, the White House and nothing got done regarding these High cost Premiums/deductibles. Ask yourself this very simple question, can we afford as Americans to hope an establishment candidate will hold true to their word in lowering these cost or even adding to the ACA. We cannot. Kelsten is the only outsider that will fight for you on this important issue.
Being a private citizen Kelsten witnessed the distrust the American public has with our government and its leaders. It’s critical that we start governing by the people for the people to regain trust back into our institutions. The days of corrupt politicians are over. The future will be led by individuals like Kelsten that have Honesty and integrity. This is the way.
More than ever we face many challenges in regards to America’s Energy. One thing is clear President Biden’s roll back of the Keystone XL pipeline along with the operation at ANWR, America is once again dependent on foreign oil. Additionally we as Californians need an advocate to speak out against the ban on all gas equipment. As your next Congressman I have the Understanding this will lead to tens of thousands of job losses and business closure’s. We must restore our energy independence.
For many years our political leaders have expressed the need for more water storage to catch snow run off before it reaches the pacific ocean. With $15 million dollars in new funding for Del Puerto Reservoir and $50 million for Los Vaqueros Reservoir expansion, we need a leader like Kelsten that will see these projects through. Kelsten believes in advancing water recharging back into the soil for almond farmers around the valley & not being so dependent only on drip.
With continued forest fires Kelsten recognizes the complexity of this very issue. Three basic categories that we must do to protect California’s forest lands. Prescribed burns, forest thinning, and clear cutting. Kelsten believes these are vital to the preservation of the forest lands along with more planting of redwoods and pine trees. Additionally Kelsten recognizes in the foothill community’s insurance premiums for fire coverage has become unaffordable for many residents. Insurance providers have taken advantage of the past fires and are raising the rates on their policy holders. This is unacceptable and as your next leader Kelsten will fight against this fraud and malpractice. Furthermore it has become apparent these providers are refusing to cover new builds for family’s that have fallen victim to the Caldor fire. Kelsten will make sure this practice is ceased by these Insurance providers.[3] |
