Calvert ran for election to the Orphans Court of Queen Anne’s County.
Primary: She was defeated in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 9.2 percent of the vote. She competed against Barry Donadio, Steve Hoofnagle, Penelope A. Keating, Richard "Dick" Smith, Eric Wargotz, and incumbent Judges Joseph V. DiPietro and Kimberly Jean Cascia. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.  [1][2]

Career

Calvert is a business owner and runs the business, The Hot Dog Stand, at Kent Narrows, Maryland. She has also previously worked as a financial adviser and estate planner.[3]
